Artscape – America's largest free arts festival – returns September 22-24, 2023

Artscape is back! After a three-year hiatus, we're excited to bring back Artscape for its 38th year! The beloved Baltimore arts festival is where art lovers, families, and tourists come together to celebrate art, culture, and performance!  Artscape is proud to showcase artists and makers, live concerts, visual arts experiences, performing arts, fashion designers, kid-focused activities, film, experimental music, improv and comedy, literary arts programming and culinary delights. We encourage artists and festivalgoers to embrace Artscape for what it is – a fully accessible, 100% FREE, world-class arts festival – right here in the heart of Baltimore City. Everyone’s invited to Artscape, let's celebrate the arts in Baltimore together!

Artscape is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Project Artscape Experience section of the festival. Pre COVID the festival drew 350,000+ visitors who spend more than $9.25 million with the festival’s exhibitors and vendors.  More details about the 2023 Project Artscape Apparel Designer applications are below.

Project Artscape Baltimore Fashion Weekend

Artscape is excited to highlight emerging and professional apparel designers by providing a runway experience to showcase their designs. The goal of this experience is to elevate the Baltimore fashion community by providing an opportunity to showcase to a broader audience.  Designers may choose to show between 5 - 15 looks with a maximum show runtime of 10 minutes. The runway experience will be held at a street level view, not on a raised runway platform.

Interactive Experience

Festival goers will have the opportunity to participate in a poll, selecting their favorite designer featured each day. The designer that receives the most votes at the end of the festival will receive an opportunity to be featured in BOPA's Emerges Baltimore Exhibition Series during the 2024 season. This show is curated in collaboration with BOPA Curator, Kirk Shannon-Butts.
